Like most funeral companies nowadays, Anderson Maguire do not make their own coffins. However, we do fit the handles and furnish the interiors. Ever aware of our commitment to the world in which we live, Anderson Maguire lays down strict criteria, which must be satisfied by any supplier who wishes to provide the company with shell coffins and furnishings. The materials utilised must be obtained from renewable sources and suppliers are encouraged to participate in the forestry stewardship scheme. Our coffin manufacturers must also comply with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 relating to the finishes and polishes used-modern water based compliant products which reduce solvent emissions.
The interiors and soft good manufacturers have given us a commitment that those engaged in the manufacture and preparation of these goods and materials are not exploited and that they receive a fair wage for their workmanship.
Because the choice of coffin can be guided by religious or local customs and will almost certainly be influenced by personal taste, we can supply an extensive range in the choice of materials and finishes. Each is tasteful and well-crafted and recent additions in the coffin range reflect the choices of those who are environmentally conscious
As themed coffins are a special order, it may be necessary to allow extra time for their manufacture and preparation. Your funeral director will be pleased to answer any questions you have.
